"First impressions are made in the first ten seconds of meeting a person or viewing an environment...""

Signature Creative Event Planning is a full service event management company with a unique blend of fourteen years of event planning and sales experience. Very early in my career, I learned that event planning is not just about the passion to execute events. Rather, it involves skills such as: active listening, negotiation, time management, rapport building, networking; setting and achieving goals and objectives.

First impressions are made in the first ten seconds of meeting a person or viewing an environment. Holding a meeting or an event is a reflection of a person, company, or the organizational structure of a corporation. In addition, branding, creativity, and professionalism are key ingredients to the success of a event.

I have both educational and professional experience in the industry. I earned a B.A. in Recreation and Leisure Studies where I studied hospitality management. I furthered my educational studies with a Certificate in Event Planning and Bridal Consulting. Some of my professional experiences include working on the supplier side as: Events Coordinator, Catering Manager, Convention Services Manager, and Director of Catering.

Frequently, independent planners tell me that they dislike wearing the sales hat of their job. They do not like to look for new business and negotiate. My diverse experience in sales makes this part of the job a comfortable process. I approach the sales component of my job as if I were the consumer. Nobody likes to be sold. Instead, I use a consultative approach. I quickly identify how the consumer wants to be involved in the event process. Do they want to be actively involved in the process or prefer a “hands-off” approach?

The Event and Meeting Planning Industry is consistently changing. I keep myself abreast of current trends in the industry and am active in industry associations. Every day I work to improve myself and my business which directly impacts my client’s.
